In a Grove

This painting was inspired by my monoprinting process. The monoprints are a series of abstracted studies of trees. They are based on memories of my annual visit to live in the woods and meadow at Oxbow Artist Residency in Saugatuck, Michigan. 

I am most interested in evoking the quality of the light and the healing nature of being amongst the trees.
